Start Learning Cities UP: A synergy between the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region and Modiin Maccabim Reut to transform lifelong learning into a regional and international development cornerstone, promoting a tangible culture of learning for everyone.
The goal? To share, collaborate, innovate.
In July 2020, Trieste was honored with the title of Learning City by UNESCO. Since then, the mission has been clear: to make lifelong learning a pillar of regional policies. It’s not just a change for the cities but an evolution involving the entire Region, shaping new skills through interactive and technological experiences.
The project extends beyond the borders of the cities in the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia, involving international partners and the Union of Israeli Municipalities. The aim is to create a deep connection between municipalities, initially within our Region, sharing ideas and practices. From an innovative platform to using education to counteract antisemitism, our approach is diverse and ambitious.
Start Learning Cities UP is more than just a program; it’s a commitment to inspire significant changes. We want to transform cities into vibrant centers of knowledge and inspiration, especially given our international commitment to “European Capital of Culture Nova Gorica – Gorizia 2025”. This project represents our vision for a future where lifelong learning is the engine of growth and development.
Start Learning Cities UP: Our commitment to transforming cities into hubs of knowledge and inspiration, inspiring change, and connecting cities and communities.
