A new phase for lifelong learning in Friuli Venezia Giulia: the expansion of the partnership and the bridge between “Start Learning City Up” and the UNESCO Learning Cities<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Friuli Venezia Giulia marks an important step forward in the field of lifelong learning with the expansion of the pioneering “Start Learning City Up” project, now enriched by the participation of the municipalities of Udine, Cividale del Friuli and Gorizia alongside the municipality of Gemona del Friuli, already involved in the proposing partnership. The regional initiative, which is distinct from but complementary to the broader process of joining the UNESCO Learning Cities, is intended as a true springboard for the Italian and Israeli municipalities involved in the partnership, as well as for all those aspiring to become Learning Cities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The “Start Learning City Up” project of the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia stands out for its innovative approach in accompanying municipalities on their path towards joining the UNESCO Learning Cities network. Through a suite of self-assessment and strategic planning tools, the project aims to provide participating cities with the skills and knowledge they need to implement best practices in terms of lifelong learning, social inclusion, sustainable economic development and cultural prosperity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The inclusion of Udine, Cividale del Friuli and Gorizia in this context signals a recognition of the importance of fostering a culture of lifelong learning and community enhancement.
