Its universities and research centres, including ICTP, ICGEB, SISSA and Area Science Park, are leaders in research production. The city hosted the ESOF 2020 forum, strengthening its international network and promoting start-ups in the bio-high-tech sector, aligning with the vision of a smart and sustainable economy.<\/p>\n

Social Inclusion and Wellbeing<\/strong>: Trieste offers a wide range of welfare services, integrating social and health services, and strives for social inclusion through formal and non-formal education. The city supports a large segment of the active elderly population, reflecting its focus on citizens’ well-being and participation in cultural and social life.<\/p>\n
